Wizkid: Starboy singer has more collaborations with Drake

DJ Maphorisa, a co-producer of the 'One dance' hit song reveals that Wizkid and Drake still have songs in the works.

Wizkid and Drake

DJ Maphorisa, a co-producer of Drake's 'One dance' featuring Wizkid has revealed there are still three songs for Drake and Wizkid to be released.
Drake’s “View from the 6” could be linked to inspiration from his hometown Canada but his recent releases taps from diverse sounds across the world.

The single, ‘One Dance’ which features Wizkid and Kyla, is built around African vibes provided by producers Noah “40” Shebib, Nineteen85, and DJ Maphorisa, a DJ and artist from Soshanguve, Pretoria.
In an interview with Genius, DJ Maphorisa said he was in Los Angeles two weeks ago working on Wizkid’s upcoming album when the opportunity to contribute to Drake’s potential song of the summer arose. According to the 28-year-old, born Themba Sekowe, after remixing Wizkid’s ‘Ojuelegba’ last summer, Drake collaborated with the Nigerian artist on ‘One Dance’ via email.

For his contributions, Maphorisa slowed down the tempo of Crazy Cousinz and Kyla’s ‘Do You Mind,’ a classic 2008 UK funky house track that became popular in the grime scene.
I was recording Wiz when they sent [the files],” Maphorisa said, referring to Wizkid’s background vocals on the song. “There was nothing really there. We started working on it—I added some production.”
The DJ said they finished ‘One Dance’ in only a week—it’s one of four tracks they recorded. He says ‘One Dance’ is blowing up in Mzansi and that it best sums up Drake’s sonic ambitions.

Well...it will be fair to say that Wizkid is destined for musical greatness, don't you agree?

There’s a burst of freshness all over social media!!!

A lot of people all over Instagram and twitter have been using the hashtag #BurstofFreshness. One wonders what this is all about.

#Burstoffreshness

A blogger, Sisi Yemmie posted a picture on her Instagram page and captioned it ‘Nothing beats going for a public gathering with assurance that your clothes are clean and fresh… #Burstoffreshness.’

Sisi Yemmie's caption

Another comedian, Twyse later joined the conversation when he posted ‘I keep fit and eat fresh, to look fresh, smell fresh. And? #BurstofFreshness'.

Twyes' caption

Well, burst of freshness could be you keeping fit, eating fresh, looking fresh and smelling fresh like Twyse.

Or the assurance that your clothes are clean and fresh while attending a public gathering, just like Sisi Yemmie.

Look around you and capture the burst of freshness...even with the burst of "brokeness" in the country. *wink*

Leonardo DiCaprio: Veteran actor reacts to 5th Oscar nomination

The 41-yr-old actor has made it clear that winning the Oscar award would be an "icing on the cake" as he has worked as hard as he possibly could.

Hollywood actor, Leonardo DiCaprio, has spoken up on his 5th Oscar nomination following the role in the new hit movie, Revenant.

he 41-yr-old actor has made it clear that winning the Oscar award would be an "icing on the cake" as he has worked as hard as he possibly could.

Speaking on the role he played in the movie with This Morning, DiCaprio revealed that:
"I do know that it’s completely beyond my control at this point. It’s interesting, because that’s not why you do the work, you know? You do the work because you love making movies and you want to look back and have a filmography that you’re proud of.
"When you’re on set you have to give everything that you possibly can while you’re there but of course being recognised by your peers and all that other stuff that happens is kind of the cherry on the cake so to speak.
"But all the work from me has been done, I’ve done everything I could possibly do, so it’s all up to you to decide whether it's worthy of being seen or talked about or awarded."
